Thabang Mphuthi
I usually work with dark or dim colours. To reach the climax of my theme. Combining fantasy and reality. A common action at strange place. I sometime try to let my mark and lines do the talking in a piece. I tell my story by the images I make, my work shows it was done patiently with bitterness. The dark and vibrating lines show my frustration and determination.
I try to bring happiness to people by bringing sad memories. I always capture the colden moment in the atmosphere, the gothic colours brings the moody weather around the moment. I work with dreams and general issues, trying to make sense from my madness. I deal with solitude. My images portray birth in a form of death and the words left unsaid. The unforgiving moments in my pieces brings the dynamic quality and the unique of the brain that belongs a thousand miles from anyone.
